Blinken’s telephone conversation with Kaag came after Israeli Army Spokesman Daniel Hagari suggested that “Hamas’s military structure had been completely dismantled” north of the blockade’s Gaza Strip.

US State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller said in a written statement that Blinken and Kaag said, “He stressed the importance of strengthening the coordination mechanism in Gaza that provides humanitarian assistance to civilians and facilitating aid to the northern part of the Gaza Strip to ensure the return of displaced persons.

Miller, Blinken and Kaag’s “accelerating the entry of aid and commercial goods into Gaza, he stressed the common determination to reach vulnerable people, including greater use of local aid to meet urgent needs and increased funding for humanitarian aid” he said.

Following Turkey and Greece, the U. S. Secretary of State moved to Saudi Arabia following the regional tour, in turn, Jordan, Qatar and the UAE. (AA)
