İSTANBUL (GOLDENHORN AGENCY) – After the NATO Summit, Turkey’s President Erdogan told the press that he’s in close contact with officials in Ukraine and Russia.  Erdogan said he’s working with his foreign minister and other diplomats to bring about a swift peace and permanent ceasefire.

Meanwhile, the Turkish President pointed out that the solution must be based on a “credible formula” that satisfies Ukraine, Russia and the international community. The Turkish leader added that he urged all countries to open their doors to refugees who request entry.

Erdogan cautioned that NATO needs to work strategically and realistically with careful practical and political support on Ukraine and Russia. Turkey’s willingness to contribute to NATO’s deterrence in solidarity with its allies is our aim, Erdogan said. He also emphasized that Turkey expects reciprocal solidarity from NATO and that his country is always ready to mediate when requested.
