TurkishJournal – Enes Kılıç – Braving frigid temperatures dipping far below zero, thousands rallied in New York city on Monday to demand an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza and a halt to US military aid to Israel. The protest, organized by the WOL Palestine and Healthcare Workers for Palestine, resonated with emotional testimonies from Palestinian Americans who lost loved ones in the clashes.
Heartfelt testimonies from speakers painted a grim picture of family members lost, with accusations leveled against Israel. Calls for President Biden to intervene and “stop the human cost of the conflict” resonated through the crowd, punctuated by chants of “Free Palestine” and “Ceasefire Now.”
Meanwhile, legal proceedings against Israel gain momentum, with South Africa seeking justice for alleged “war crimes” at the International Court of Justice.
