Turkish Journal – Şevval Erdağ – Reports stated that five people died and several others were injured when the parachutes of humanitarian aid crates, dropped from planes to the Gaza Strip, failed to open and fell onto Palestinians awaiting assistance.

Palestinians had faced challenging times trying to reach the aid crates previously dropped, as the supplies had fallen into the sea.

Some had been observed using small fishing boats, while others were seen swimming to reach the humanitarian aid.

Despite the provisional measures issued by the International Court of Justice on January 26, which included ensuring access to humanitarian aid in Gaza, it is stated that the amount of aid entering Gaza in February decreased by half compared to January.

Since October 7, at least 30,800 Palestinians, including 13,430 children, have been killed, and 72,298 others have been injured in the attacks by the occupying Israel on the Gaza Strip. (AA)
