By Janet Ekstract ISTANBUL-Egypt’s Al-Qahera News confirmed on Saturday, that talks on a Gaza ceasefire will resume in Cairo on Monday. Meanwhile, on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu approved a new set of ceasefire talks to take place in Doha and Cairo. Israel is under even more pressure from Israelis and multiple countries who are calling for an immediate ceasefire. Many Israeli protests have been calling for Netanyahu’s resignation and saying he doesn’t care about the hostages. On Saturday, in Cairo, a top French diplomat was in Cairo for meetings with Egyptian and Jordanian foreign ministers with all three calling for an “immediate and permanent ceasefire” in Gaza and a release of all hostages. France’s foreign minister Stephane Sejourne said the French government will put a draft resolution forwarded at the U.N. Security Council that lays out a “political” settlement of the war to include “all the criteria for a two-state solution” to the conflict in Gaza. Previous talks on a ceasefire and hostage deal between Egypt, Qatar and the U.S. haven’t resulted in anything concrete yet.
