TURKISH JOURNAL – PIA BOZYEL – The World Health Organization (WHO) announced it has provided $1 million in emergency aid to quickly respond to the Sudan virus outbreak in Uganda.
WHO issued a written statement on the matter.
The statement highlighted that training support would be provided to health workers, and expert teams would be sent.
The statement emphasized that work would be initiated for potential vaccines and reported that the first case detected at Mulago National Referral Hospital involved a nurse, with 45 individuals currently under observation.
The statement also mentioned that measures to prevent the spread of the virus are being implemented, and health authorities are rapidly responding.
